Although cooking your very first green bean casserole can seem like a challenge and maybe even a little intimidating, the truth is that it is quite easy and you shouldn’t have any problems with it if you have a good recipe to follow. One of the first things you will need to get is a condensed can of cream of mushroom soup as well s green beans, peppers, milk, and French fried onions. Once you have all of these ingredients together in your kitchen you will be able to get started with putting everything together. It is important to make sure that you have enough of everything you need, because the last thing you want is to have to go run to the store at the last minute to get more of something that is essential to the recipe.

The first thing you will have to do when you are making green bean casserole is to mix the soup, pepper, and milk together in a casserole dish which measures around 1 ½ quarts. You will then want to stir in all of the beans (about four cups) and 2/3 cup of the fried onions. You will need to put this mixture into the oven for around 25 minutes to let it bake. Make sure that you have the oven at 350 degrees when you put it in. You will also need to top off the baked mixture with 2/3 cups of fried onions and put it back in for about five more minutes so it can finish all the way.
